I'm agree with you .
I think than is a good voice, but good is not enough for nightwish....it sound like a pop singer, and now, NW sound more like Within Temptation than as themselves.

Nightwish is falling down...but not only because Tarja left, but because since Once sound too much to cheap orchestra.

you can notice the change in Tuomas Holopainen...now he is going everywhere with a hat than makes him look like an Amys XD.
Seems than he is telling "look how cool I am now...sooooo cool " XD

since the wishmaster album nightwish, nightwish is become very orchaestral and i think that is a not a good point.

okay it's a very good music but this is no more heavy metal. The particularity of the tarja voice (the opera style of wishmaster) have disappear.

Now with this new singer Nightwish is really become more pop, nightwish is powerless again.

The power of Tarja's voice will never be replaced, unfortunatly...

The only way to reach at least a bit their old selves again is to pick a singer, who has the same education as Tarja's (I think it was opera singing of some kind, correct me if I'm wrong ). Honestly, Tarja has a wonderful voice and I was kind of amazed, that everyone hoped a new singer, matching her voice could be found...

Even the new singer will get all the blame if the new album is a mess.....really its not her fault, because the true Nightwish weak point right now is the composition, than now is brightless and borring.

My firt NW album was Century Child..... and I get stunned the first time I heard it! but with Once....Creew Mary's Blood and other songs...U_U without guitar, without bass and without drum...... What the Heck?? XD

Tarja get out of the ship before it was sinking..... good for her! XD

I like her voice... It is different, but it seems really interessant...

I am waiting for the new album. We will learn much more about the "new" Nightwish...

The coming of a new singer is sinonymous of a new era for the band... it would have been easy for them to do exactly the same as they did before... maybe it was a volunteer action to mark a king of.. 'rebirth'?

Not many agree with me, but I've always thought that getting a new singer for a band is such a big change, the band's name should be changed.

Like in this case, you have everyone saying "Its no Tarja..." and "Its not the same Nightwish", which has happened to so many bands with new lead singers. I feel it can change the sound too much, that it pretty much does make it a new band.

But as I said, not many agree with me.
