So they are a side project of the Anathema songwritter Duncan Patterson. I can't find a correct genre to put them in, but their music is kind of melancholic and it brings a bit dark and depressing atmosphere. Antimatter are strange and not everybody can understand them imo but they are good. So, anyone heard them?

Antimatter started as the project of ex-Anathema bassist/songwriter Duncan Patterson (paired up with guitarist Mick Moss) after he quit the doom/death pioneers in the midst of their transition towards post-Floyd ambient rock territory. With barely any connection to metal at all, Antimatter rely on melancholic atmospheres (created by electronic equipment and haunting vocals or contrariwise acoustic guitars). Albums contained certain guest musicians appereances - mainly female vocalists, but also former Duncan's mate in Anathema - Danny Cavanagh. Following the release of 2005's "Planetary Confinement", Patterson left the band and started a new one called Íon, leaving Moss to take care of what is presumed to be the band's final release, "Leaving Eden", in the earlier months of 2007.

OH!!!It's so nice for me to here this, I like a lot anathema and I don't know anything about this group. A curiosity anathema have a cd 'Afine day to exit' that if you here it completely in the last song there is an empty part but if you let it sound you can here: 'what about the chickeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennn' and more things (it's like if it doesn't has any sense in the cd) they are crazy
