Rate the band

It's easy : we'll have to give a grade to a band each week. Try to explain your grade

So for the first week, the band is After Forever

I would give a 7,5. I'm not a big fan of their music (I don't mean I dislike!!!) but their singer has, for me, one of the most beautiful voice in the symphonic metal world. I've seen them live once and I can tell that they have a fucking good presence on the stage.

about after for ever..
i agree but i have not seen them live ...just in the videos...but...they have a great singer...i don't rate them 'couse i will wait your answer

I pretty agree with you two. So i'll stick to 6 for After forever, mainly because of their lack of originality and innovation. They're doing pretty much the same music since their beginnings.

So for me it's a big 8,5!!! I'm a big fan of every periods, evend if Tobias Sammet changed a lot his way to compose. One of the best opera Metal for me ^^

i'd go for a 9. Just for the masterpieces :
- The Tower
- The Seven Angels
- The Scarecrow

And a 10 for the singers esp. Jorn Lande, Michael Kiske and Oliver Hartman (I don't believe in your looooooove)

New band to rate : Rhapsody of Fire

I would give them a 6.

They had a very good start of career, with some very good and original ideas. But the last albums were not so good and the band has never been nice on the stage... That's why I can't give more than this grade...

Once more, I totally agree with you, up to Power of the Dragonflame, ROF was my favourite band.

Unfortunately, Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli began to be very showing off and the music turned to something to boastful.

So 6 seems good

New band to rate : Stratovarius!!!

For me it will be a 6. They had so many fucking albums at the beginning, but sin Elements, they made only some boring tracks... The last album was much better, so I hope that's it's gonna continue ^^

10 for their "Episode" to "Elements Part 1" career + live appearances, but counterbalanced by their early career and by their Elements Part II.

New band : Heavenly

I give a 8. I love the 3 last opus of the band. Some fucking melodic metal as I love it... The first albums were good too, but too kitchy sometimes. And, the biggest point : they are french

7,5 - For me, the music is not what I prefer, but they are one of these bands that are mythics for the whole metal genre... 25 years that their music enjoys thousands of fans all over the world, and I think that we'll have some for the next year to come

Let's say 20/10 for the first 3 albums and 5 for the rest of their discography except for the last one Gambling with the devil with 7.5


Michael Kiske is for me the best Helloween singer. The one and the only (except for Kai Hansen and his fucking cold on Walls of Jericho).

I love the old Helloween, I used to not care about the current one but their last show for GWTD was very good.

So let's give'em 7
